Our retail store opens at 9am.

Early bike drop off is available before opening hours for customers with a confirmed service booking. Instructions are available via the QR code at the front door or on our website.

Are you open between Christmas and New Years?

No, we close every year over the Christmas and New Year period.

We close on 23 December at midday and reopen on the first Monday of the first full working week in January.

Do you buy or trade in used bikes?

No.

We do not buy, sell, or trade used bicycles.

Will you buy my used bike?

No, unfortunately we do not buy used bikes from anyone.

Will you sell my used bike?

No, unfortunately we do not selll used bikes for anyone. We do not offer this service, and do not want to make commision off these sales either.

Where can i sell my used bike?

Bikehub is your best bet for a private sale. Alternatively have a chat to bike market, or bicycle garage. They will make you an offer and purchase it out right from you.

Can i leave my bike with you to try sell it?

No, unfortunately we do not offer this service.

Can you give me an evaluation on my used bike?

No, unfortunately we do not offer this service.

Do you offer bike fitments?

Bike fitting and setup are provided exclusively with the purchase of a new bike from Biket. We do not offer walk in or standalone bike fitting services.

How do i log a warranty?

Does Biket Hillcrest offer bike setup or fitment?

No, unfortunately we only offer bike setups on new bikes that are purchased from us.

Is Biket Hillcrest an authorised Trek retailer

Yes. Biket is an approved Trek dealer and approved online Trek store. All Trek bikes, accessories and warranties are fully supported.

Do I need an appointment to buy a bike?

No appointment is required.

However, for higher end bikes, sizing discussions, or demo requests, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can allocate the correct time and staff.

Do you sell bicycles from brands other than Trek?

No, Biket Hillcrest is a Trek focused bicycle retailer. We sell Trek bicycles exclusively.

If i buy two of something, can i get a better price?

Regrettably, we do not provide a discount for purchasing two items. Our pricing policy does not include discounts for purchasing multiple items.

I need a quote for my insurance.

Please go to the product you would like, and instead of adding to cart. 'Request a Quote', fill in your details and the site will generate an automatic quote for you.

Can you give me a a damage report on my bike.

Yes, we charge a once off fee of R500 for the report, which is then taken off your new bike purchase from us.

Can you size me for a different brand of bike?

We focus on Trek bikes, it's our specialty. We can assist with sizing for a Trek.

Do you offer bike demos?

Yes, Demo availability depends on model, size, and demand. All demos are booking based.

Can I collect an online order in store?

Yes. Click and collect is available. You will be notified once your order is ready for collection.

Can someone else collect my order on my behalf?

Yes. Please ensure they have your order confirmation and valid identification.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes. Digital gift cards are available online and can be redeemed in store.

Is parking available?

Yes. Customer parking is available directly in front of the store.

How does your service centre operate?

Biket Hillcrest operates as a booking only service centre. All workshop services are scheduled in advance and subject to inspection and workshop capacity.

Do you accept walk in repairs?

No.

We do not offer walk in repairs. All workshop jobs must be booked in advance.

Do you offer same day servicing?

No.

Bookings reserve a place in our workshop workflow but do not guarantee same day completion.

Do I need to book my bike in for a service?

Yes.

All services are booking based. Bikes dropped off without a booking may need to be rescheduled.

We are a Trek focused service centre and only service Trek bicycles purchased from Biket Hillcrest.

Do you service other bicycle brands?

No.

We do not service all bicycle brands or support all repair types.

Can I bring my bike in for an inspection without a booking?

No.

Inspections are part of a booking based workshop process and cannot be done on a walk in basis.

Is early bike drop off available for pre booked services?

Yes.

How long does a service take?

Turnaround time depends on the service booked, inspection findings, and workshop capacity. Estimated timelines are communicated once the bike has been inspected.

Do you provide quotes before starting work?

Yes.

All work is inspected and quoted before proceeding. No work begins without customer approval.

How will I receive updates on my bike?

You will receive automated updates via WhatsApp as your bike progresses through the workshop.

Do you offer emergency or priority servicing?

No.

All workshop jobs are handled in booking order to ensure fairness and consistency.

Is there a minimum workshop charge?

Yes.

A minimum workshop charge of R200 applies.

Do you service e bikes?

Yes, for supported Trek e bike models.

Can I wait while my bike is being serviced?

No.

We do not offer wait while you service appointments.

What happens if I drop my bike off late?

Bikes dropped off outside the allocated booking time may need to be rescheduled to the next available slot.

When can I collect my bike?

You will be notified when your bike is ready for collection. Bikes are released once payment has been completed.

Do you service bikes not purchased from Biket?

Our workshop prioritises bicycles purchased from Biket Hillcrest. Service availability is limited to Trek bicycles purchased from us.

Do you offer cleaning or wash only services?

No.

Cleaning and wash services are performed as part of a service package only.

What happens if additional work is required?

If additional work is identified during inspection, you will be notified and approval will be required before proceeding.

What if I don’t approve the quote?

If a quote is not approved, no work will be carried out and the bike will be made available for collection.

Do you offer all servicing options for bicycles?

To ensure consistent turnaround times and maintain the quality of work we stand behind, we do not offer the following workshop services:


• Bike washing or cosmetic clean only services

• Bike boxing or courier shipping services

• Fitting parts purchased from other stores

• On the spot puncture repairs including plug or tube fitments

• Any servicing on 26 inch wheel bicycles

• Servicing on bicycles older than 10 years

Our workshop is focused on servicing modern Trek bicycles and selected current generation bikes that align with the tools, parts availability and standards we support.

Do you offer courier delivery?

Yes. We ship nationwide. Most parts and accessories ship within 48 hours. Bikes are fully checked by our mechanics and safely boxed before dispatch.

Can I order parts or accessories that are out of stock?

Availability depends on supplier stock and lead times. Some items may be available as special orders.
