From quote to collection

The complete finance process

01

Choose the bike

Choose an eligible complete bicycle and any confirmed accessories you want included.

02

Get your Biket quote

Select Get a quote on the product page. The quote must show the bicycle year, model and whether it is new or used.

03

Apply or get pre-approved

Complete Yonda’s online application. A quick pre-approval can return an initial result in minutes during office hours.

04

Send the documents

Upload the required documents with the application or email them afterwards. Yonda sends the application to the bank for scoring.

05

Review the outcome

Yonda contacts you to discuss the bank’s feedback, repayments, deposit and any outstanding requirements, including insurance.

06

Sign and collect

If you proceed, Yonda prepares the iContract for online signature and arranges release of the bicycle from Biket.

Before you apply

Prepare these documents

  • Your Biket quote showing the bicycle year, model and new or used status
  • Latest three months’ payslips, unless an exception below applies
  • Latest three months’ bank statements showing salary payments
  • South African ID and proof of residence if requested by the bank
  • Files must not be password-protected or zipped
  • Use original digital documents—WesBank does not accept photographed documents or CamScanner files

FNB or FRB customers

Yonda says WesBank can usually access income information directly, so payslips and bank statements may not be required.

Self-employed applicants

Payslips are not required. Provide at least three months’ bank statements showing income unless the FNB or FRB exception applies.

Get your Biket quote first

Open the bike you want and select Get a quote. Our site will generate and email your Biket quote automatically—use it with your Yonda application.

Accessories you can include

Yonda allows the following accessories to be added to your bicycle finance quote:

  • Pedals
  • Handlebars
  • Helmet
  • Bottle cage

Add these items before selecting Get a quote so they appear on your Biket quote. Yonda’s general guide also mentions functional upgrades such as wheels, but these should be confirmed with Biket or Yonda before applying.

What cannot automatically be included?

Do not assume that apparel, electronics, nutrition, workshop labour or accessories outside the confirmed list will be financed. Ask Biket or Yonda before adding anything else to the application.

Final requirements depend on the bank’s assessment. Comprehensive bicycle insurance is mandatory before the bicycle can be released.

Important financial details

Deposits, fees and repayments

Repayment terms

Choose 12, 24, 36 or 48 months, subject to approval.

Deposit

Yonda says new bicycles normally require a deposit starting from R4,100. Used bicycles normally do not. Biket’s displayed monthly estimates use a 10% deposit.

Once-off fees

Yonda currently lists a R1,207.50 WesBank initiation fee and a R2,990 Yonda service fee. These can be included in the financed amount.

Interest and approval

Your rate and repayment depend on credit scoring. Used-bicycle rates may be fixed or variable. The calculator is not a formal approval or quote.

Early settlement

Yonda says additional payments and early settlement can be made without a penalty.

Typical timing

Pre-approval can take minutes during office hours. With complete documents, the average full deal takes about three to five days.

Questions asked during pre-approval

Yonda asks about debt review or insolvency, sequestration or administration orders, missed payments and whether the monthly repayment is affordable. Final approval is decided by the bank.

Shariah-compliant finance

Yonda says a WesBank Shariah-compliant option is available. Complete the application and then contact Yonda so the correct process can be followed.

Rules and fees can change. Read Yonda’s current FAQ and how-it-works guide before applying. Yonda FAQ How Yonda finance works
